Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting. Assist health care providers with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures. Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs, and administer TB skin tests. Conduct lab tests, ensure results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse, and coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities. Review patient charts, report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in conditions. Administer medications, implement healthcare practitioners' orders, and document all patient contacts using the POMR format. Work 7am to 3pm weekdays and until med pass on weekends, 2-3 days a week including every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active state license as an LPN
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
