Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents in a geriatric/long-term care setting, including administering medications and treatments, performing resident assessments, and participating in daily rounds. Carry out physician orders and the Plan of Care, assist with IV therapies as needed, and communicate effectively with residents. This role supports a variety of schedules (Day, Evening, Night) and includes opportunities for Part Time and PRN arrangements within a compassionate, mission-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- Active Practical Nurse licensure (in state of job location)
- One-year experience working in Geriatric or Long-Term Care setting preferred
- Active CPR certification preferred
- Ability to assess and effectively communicate with residents
- Plans, directs and provides care to residents according to physician orders and the Plan of Care
- Administers medications and treatments
- Performs resident assessments
- Participates in daily resident rounding
- May assist with insertion and maintaining of IV therapies for residents.
