Job Summary
Provide and document injections, maintain medication storage room inventory, and review client blood work and lab reports to inform treating staff of emergent issues. Assist psychiatrists and nurse practitioners with prescription refills, insurance prior-authorization forms, and crisis or medical emergency situations. Deliver group and individual wellness education, perform general health assessments, and collaborate with service providers while adhering to professional boundaries. This 20-hour part-time weekday role supports the multi-disciplinary team at the OMH Adult Outpatient Clinic, focusing on adults with co-occurring symptoms and disorders.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required, with current licensure in New York State
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Able to use computer
- Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience providing nursing care to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses preferred
- Experience in a Community Health setting
