Job Summary
Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort to residents while conducting professional assessments and documenting their health status. Supervise nursing units by performing and assigning routine skills and procedures to ensure quality care. Participate in developing and implementing resident care plans, documenting progress, and recommending revisions per facility policy. Make daily visits to observe symptoms and medication reactions, obtaining vital signs, intake/output, weights, and diet information. Assist with staff orientation and ongoing training to maintain required skill levels. Shifts run 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7pm.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- possess a valid LPN License in good standing according to State and Federal requirements
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Florida
- Have basic computer skills along with knowledge of such programs as Excel, Word, etc.
- Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitor, government agencies and personnel
- The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Compliance and HIPAA

- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines
