Job Summary
Administer medications and infusion therapy while performing physical and psychosocial re-assessments. Participate in daily patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse, implementing treatments and evaluating intervention effectiveness. Actively collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team, including bedside reports in SBAR format, to meet patient educational and discharge planning needs. Delegate tasks to nursing attendants and communicate actions to maintain continuity among the nursing team. Reinforce patient education to promote independence and ensure understanding of conditions and self-care skills. Monitor care quality and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily performance improvement activities. Requires a Florida LPN license, BLS certification, and IV certification; offers 11:00am-11:00pm full-time shifts with day-one benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a practical nursing education program (accredited preferred) or has successfully completed courses, equivalent to practical nursing education in a professional nursing program and were qualified for NCLEX-PN based on practical nursing equivalency (PNEQ), approved by the FL Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience or completion of Parrish Healthcare's Nurse Residency Experience.
- State of Florida LPN License required
- BLS through the American Heart Association required
- NIH Stroke Scale required within 6 months of hire
- Florida Board of Nursing IV Certification required
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS or PALS or NRP through the American Heart Association preferred
