Job Summary
Provide nursing care for patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician, including data collection, on-going monitoring, and documentation of patient responses. Administer and document medications per policy while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring confidentiality. Monitor vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values; inform the supervising RN or physician of observations, patient responses, and status changes. Orient patients and families to room and unit routines using specialized equipment such as glucometers and pulse oximetry. Perform additional patient care functions as assigned and comply with Prisma Health's purpose to inspire health, serve with compassion, and make a difference.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- One (1) year experience as an LPN
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency program from another organization
- Program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Enrollment in an accredited LPN to RN transition program
- Current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
