Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the 1 East Ortho Spine Bariatrics Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA. Full-time third shift (7 PM–7 AM) with rotating weekends. Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LIP, performing testing, medication administration, and implementation of nursing interventions and care plans to support orthopedic, spine, and bariatric patients. Delivers patient advocacy and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality surgical and orthopedic care. The unit emphasizes MBSAQIP accreditation, ongoing orientation, and opportunities for professional growth. Required Qualifications
- Education: Trade School Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing Program (Required)
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Experience: Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred
