Job Summary
Deliver safe and efficient direct nursing care to patients in the Joint Replacement Unit, implementing plans of care within LPN scope of practice. Administer ordered medications and treatments using appropriate medical equipment, while performing phlebotomy services and assisting with patient care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. Contribute to the care plan with input from the healthcare team and manage general clinical and clerical duties. Work scheduled weekly hours of 36 in evening and night shifts at Memorial Regional Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an LPN or LPN applicant (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Completion of an accredited LPN (Licensed Practical Nursing) Program
- High School Degree or GED
- One year of clinical patient care experience (e.g., PCT, CNA, LPN) in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class with a passing grade on exam (required for Telemetry/Remote Telemetry units)
