Job Summary
Provide direct skilled bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients enrolled in the VITAS program; perform and monitor administration of treatments and medications under supervision; participate in designing and delivering the interdisciplinary plan of care; document clinical notes and reports; maintain a clean and safe environment; participate in patient/family teaching and discharge planning; flexible schedule including weekends or rotating shifts; requires valid state practical/vocational nursing license and at least one year of nursing experience; transportation with liability insurance is required for work.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit
- Equivalent experience may be considered
