Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Provides nursing and health care services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with policies and procedures and state Nurse Practice Act. Delivers training to clients and Open Arms Care staff; conducts pre-employment screening for TB skin tests and Hepatitis B vaccine; participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and ISP development; administers medications and treatments as ordered, records vital signs, and supports safety and quality of care across shifts. Rotates on-call duties, ensures medication security, maintains documentation, and assists with desensitization programs for medical/dental appointments; collaborates with physicians and Health Services Director as required; contributes to programmatic training and employee development. LPNs have opportunities for advancement along career pathways toward RN roles and leadership tracks.
