Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate competency in testing to evaluate resident status, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contribute to resident assessments, document interactions and care outcomes, and counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within an interdisciplinary care team. Requires an unencumbered LPN license, accredited practical nursing program graduation, and current state nursing board registration.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
