Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care including IV therapy under the direction of a registered nurse within the OB/GYN unit. Assist ancillary nursing staff, interact with the multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate professional responsibility to ensure high-quality personalized care. Utilize the nursing process for data gathering, planning, and evaluation while adapting to rapid changes in unit needs. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulatory standards, reporting any compliance concerns immediately. Manage personal professional development and maintain required clinical credentials, including current LPN licensure and BLS certification. Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, handling physical demands such as lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Residence in and ability to work in one of the following areas: Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, or Washington D.C.
