Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatments while responding to medical needs with confidence. Collaborate with providers and correctional staff to coordinate care, maintain accurate documentation, and support both chronic and emergent situations. Help create a safe, respectful healthcare environment for all patients within the secure, structured setting of Jackson County Jail. This full-time night shift role (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) includes rotating weekends and offers a sign-on and retention bonus for dedicated staff.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
- Night shift availability (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Direct patient care capability including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Confidence and clinical skill to respond to medical needs
- Ability to collaborate with providers and correctional staff
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Capability to support chronic care and emergent medical situations
- Ability to create a safe, respectful healthcare environment
