Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatments while responding to medical needs with confidence. Collaborate with providers and correctional staff to coordinate care for chronic and emergent situations, maintaining accurate documentation to support a safe, respectful environment. Work the night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sign-on and retention bonuses are offered for this full-time position within the Jackson County Jail.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
- Night shift availability (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Direct patient care capability including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Confidence and clinical skill to respond to medical needs
- Ability to collaborate with providers and correctional staff
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
