Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatments while responding to medical needs with confidence and clinical skill. Collaborate with providers and correctional staff to coordinate care, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and support both chronic care and emergent medical situations. Help create a safe, respectful healthcare environment for all patients within the secure, structured setting of Jackson County Jail. You will work a full-time rotating night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend, with a sign-on and retention bonus offered.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
- Night shift availability (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Direct patient care capability including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Confidence and clinical skill to respond to medical needs
- Ability to collaborate with providers and correctional staff
