Job Summary
Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a 40-bed long-term care skilled nursing community. Responsible for ongoing resident assessments, direct nursing care including wound treatments and IV therapy where permitted, medication administration, clinical leadership on the unit, supervision of CNAs and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care, and providing education and support to residents and families. Requires LPN license in good standing (Iowa), CPR, and supervisory course completion or ability to obtain within 90 days. Competitive hourly pay with shift differential at Corning Specialty Care, Corning, IA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (Iowa) or ability to activate
- Current CPR Certification
- Documented completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within first 90-days of employment
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
- Strong commitment to empathy, respect, patience, and discretion
