Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Yorktown, NY. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining the electronic medical record with vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies and diagnoses; managing physician inbox messages; maintaining medical inventory and stocking supplies; preparing and cleaning exam rooms; escorting patients to exam rooms; patient education on medications, disease management, home treatments, and special diets; assisting with exams/procedures; preparing and administering injections; phlebotomy and lab specimen collection; performing point-of-care lab testing and EKGs; administering medications under physician orders with adherence to medication rights. Requires current NYS LPN license and BLS. Salary starting at $34 per hour based on experience; comprehensive benefits package offered. Hours: 5/8.5 hour days, Mon-Fri 7:30a-6p.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS LPN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with EMR’s
- Reliable transportation to any NYCBS location for patient care needs
