Job Summary
Monitor patient status and condition including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Administer and document medication administration per policy while collecting and documenting data using specialized equipment such as glucometers and pulse oximetry. Provide patient and family instruction regarding room and unit routines, maintain accurate medical records, and inform supervisors of observed changes in patient status. This full-time day shift role is located at Blount Memorial Hospital in Blount County, South Carolina. Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- One (1) year experience as an LPN
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency program from another organization
- Program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Enrollment in an accredited LPN to RN transition program
- Current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
