Job Summary
Monitor and document patient status including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Collect and document data using specialized equipment such as glucometers and pulse oximetry, while administering and documenting medications per policy. Provide patient and family instruction regarding room and unit routines, and inform supervisors of patient observations, responses, and changes in condition. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality. This full-time night shift role at Prisma Health's Blount Memorial Hospital Medical Telemetry department requires a current LPN license and one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- One (1) year experience as an LPN
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency program from another organization
- Program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Candidates enrolled in an accredited LPN to RN transition program
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
