Job Summary
Monitor and document patient status in Medical Telemetry, including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values. Administer and document medications per policy while collecting data on patient responses using specialized equipment like glucometers and pulse oximetry. Provide patient and family instruction regarding room and unit routines, and inform the Registered Nurse or Physician of observations and changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate, confidential medical records under the direction of a supervisor. Requires current LPN licensure and one year of experience; night shift at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- One (1) year experience as an LPN
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency program from another organization
- Program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Candidates enrolled in an accredited LPN to RN transition program
- RN licensure
