Job Summary
Direct patient care under RN supervision in a home dialysis program, administering medications per physician orders, training and evaluating candidates for home therapy, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records and the Medical Information System, and collaborating with physicians to update treatment plans; requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR, dialysis training, and travel between facilities; emphasizes infection control, patient education, and participation in staff trainings and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
- ICU experience preferred but not required.
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
- Successfully complete CPR certification.
