Job Summary
Coordinate total client care plans with the RN and physician, following assigned nursing care plans and evaluating client progress. Accurately report and record client conditions, prepare clinical progress notes, and assist clients with activities of daily living while teaching self-care techniques. Maintain a safe environment, prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique, and perform specialized procedures within training limits. Assist the physician and RN in complex situations, participate in case conferences and in-service programs, and confirm weekly visit scheduling. Requires a car with insurance, state driver's license, and ability to travel to client residences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved program of practical/vocational Nursing
- Licensed as a licensed graduate Practical Nurse in the state where practicing
- One (1) year of experience as a nurse
- Must have a car with required insurance coverage and a state driver's license or reliable transportation
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing to the extent required by the position
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position
- Able to travel to prospective clients' residences
