Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care for patients with predictable outcomes while adhering to British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives standards. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support Registered Nurses in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex acuity beyond the LPN scope. Document care activities and maintain clinical competence within a client and family-centred model. Work in a long-term care setting in Powell River, BC, under general supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
