Job Summary
Administer and assist with medications to assigned residents while monitoring the personal care provided by Resident Assistants. Report changes in resident condition, daily needs, and progress to the Director of Nursing and follow individual plans of care. Supervise department staff, maintain documentation in Case Notes and Medication Administration Records, and manage controlled substance medications including their storage and distribution. Ensure resident care standards are met and that rights and preferences are respected during all interactions. Work part-time shifts from 2-10pm with a base rate plus shift differential and an opt-out premium.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current State license
- ability to supervise department staff effectively
- work well with personnel of other departments
- ensure high standards of care are maintained
- read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in geriatric nursing
