Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a hospice house setting provides direct care to hospice patients, assists in facilitating smooth patient transitions, and administers medications under the supervision of the Hospice RN. Responsibilities include managing medication audits, maintaining organized nursing documentation, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and providing emotional support. The LPN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, provides family education, ensures a safe environment, prepares meals, and prepares for any emergencies as directed by the RN. The role requires a commitment to the hospice philosophy and cooperation with volunteers.
