Job Summary
Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and resident plans of care across LTC, retirement homes, and hospitals. Ensure safekeeping of drugs and narcotics while monitoring resident status and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse. Collaborate with medical teams, family members, and Personal Support Workers to optimize functional ability and maintain a safe, dignified environment. Document priorities on individualized care plans and participate in in-service programs and conferences. Work minimum of 6-8 bi-weekly shifts with full-time, part-time, or casual availability.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- valid BCCNM
- willing to work minimum of 6-8 shifts bi-weekly
- Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification
- Current First Aid with CPR
