Job Summary
Lead shift operations by supervising Resident Care Assistants and Medication Technicians, coordinating care assignments, and managing residence decisions in the absence of executive leadership. Administer medications per physician orders, maintain accurate MAR documentation, and conduct daily narcotic counts while monitoring e-call systems and resident charts. Respond promptly to emergencies, report abuse incidents, and coach staff on care standards and disciplinary protocols. Perform change-of-shift reports, orient new associates, and ensure compliance with CDC and OSHA safety standards. Maintain professional demeanor and use diplomatic communication with residents and families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Must be a licensed nurse in state where you work
- Minimum of two years nursing experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred
- Dementia care experience preferred
