Job Summary
Deliver essential nursing care in the gastroenterology clinic by performing patient intake, administering medications, and conducting diagnostic testing such as EKGs and basic lab tests. Provide direct patient support through wound care, bandage changes, and assisting with medical procedures while documenting all interactions in the electronic medical record. Educate patients on treatment plans and preventative care, maintain a sanitized environment, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA standards. Collaborate with providers to support care plans and monitor daily logs for narcotics and vaccine expiration dates. Requires state licensure as an LPN or LVN, BCLS certification, and 0-2 years of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years experience in a clinical or outpatient setting
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse
- BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
