Job Summary
Complete patient assessments, administer medications as ordered, and perform lab tests including A1C, EKGs, and urinalysis. Chart accurately in the patient EHR while providing support and education for testing and procedures. Contact patients with test results and complete other duties assigned by providers. Requires a current LPN license in Maryland or a compact state, CPR certification, and adequate typing skills for efficient data entry. Experience in pediatric and family practice is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license to practice in the State of Maryland or compact state
- CPR Certification
- Adequate typing skills to be able to enter data into the EHR efficiently
- Basic computer skills to include launching applications, managing 'Windows' and Templates in the EHR, and using a Tablet PC
- Normal vision and hearing
- Ability to articulate and comprehend the spoken English language
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Frequent periods of concentration and attention to details
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions
- Minimum physical effort required. Intermittent sitting with freedom of movement. Occasional walking, bending, lifting, pulling and reaching.
