Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care and dressing changes, assist with activities of daily living, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document care and progress in EMRs/EHRs, ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations, offer emotional support to residents and families, participate in staff training and infection control, supervise CNAs, and support continuous improvement in resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and empathetic approach to care
