Job Summary
Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients in a family medicine setting, including independent nursing care and administration of prescribed treatments, while collaborating with the healthcare team and participating in patient care coordination and discharge planning. Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program, hold CLPNM registration with IV therapy and IV medication administration certification, and meet CPR and regulatory requirements. Will apply nursing standards, PHIA/WHMIS guidelines, and uphold ethics and scope of practice; must demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking, prioritization, delegation, adaptability to rotating shifts, and ability to function under pressure within a multidisciplinary team in an in-person maternity leave term position. Preference given to Indigenous-language capability or Indigenous knowledge, with emphasis on safe, patient-centered care and adherence to regional policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program
- Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration
- Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
- Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check (as conditions of employment)
