Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Family Medicine Colonial Heights

Job Summary
Provide direct basic nursing care under physician direction in a Family Medicine setting. Collaborate with physicians and health care team members to meet patient/family needs, observe and report patient responses to care, label and package specimens as trained, assist in procedures and interventions, and act as a chaperone during patient examinations. Support indirect care and administrative duties as assigned, and contribute to implementing the care plan. Must hold an active LPN licensure (or applicant) and BLS certification; experience in a fast-paced outpatient environment and proficient in a computer-based scheduling/registration system; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred, not required)
- Ability to learn and use a computer-based scheduling/registration system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
