Job Summary
Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides ongoing resident assessments, direct nursing care including wound care and IV therapy as permitted, medication administration with safe documentation, and serves as a clinical leader on the unit. Supervises CNAs and other staff, ensures regulatory compliance and infection prevention, communicates with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and delivers education and emotional support to residents and families within a 71-bed long-term care setting in Corydon, IA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (Iowa)
- Current CPR Certification
- Documented completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within first 90-days
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
- Strong commitment to empathetic, patient-centered care
