Job Summary
Conduct daily nursing care for eating disorder patients, including specimen collection, phlebotomy, medication administration, EKGs, and vital sign monitoring. Order standing labs per protocol, reconcile prescribed medications, and provide patient education on side effects and medical complications. Address medical concerns, triage inquiries, and ensure accurate clinical documentation of assessments, weights, and progress notes. Collaborate with physicians, milieu staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, therapeutic care while adhering to infection control and regulatory standards. Work assigned shifts in a collaborative environment focused on patient recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nebraska LPN or RN license (or ability to obtain)
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Colorado within 60 days of hire required
- Obtain CPR Certification within 90 days of hire required
- Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system
- Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within various software products
- Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Office suite
- This position requires lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds rarely
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or a related clinical setting preferred
- Experience treating patients with eating disorders preferred
- Experience in a mental or behavioral health setting preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills preferred
