Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents and patients under the direction of the Director of Nursing, including medication administration, treatment, and documentation. Coordinate care and services with other departments from admission to discharge while directing Nursing Assistants and other clinical staff on the unit. Assist Registered Nurses with assessments, data collection, and timely reporting of resident condition changes. Ensure safety of all individuals by monitoring hazards, enforcing infection control policies, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Adhere to all safety regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Vulnerable Adult policies, while performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
