Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care for patients with predictable outcomes in the Discharge Lounge. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support Registered Nurses in managing clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex acuity beyond the LPN scope. Document care activities and maintain clinical competence per BCCNM standards. Work within a client and family centred care model under general supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
