Job Summary
Prepare and assess patients for physician visits, observe and record patient responses to medical care, and report these findings. Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to implement plans of care by providing direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice. Appropriately label and package specimens as trained, assist with provider procedures and treatments, and perform clerical duties as assigned. Act as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examinations when requested.
Required Qualifications
- Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of the patients
- Ability to learn and use a computer-based patient appointment scheduling and registration system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team
- Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
Desired Qualifications
- One year of clinical patient care experience
