Job Summary
Conduct complete nursing assessments and document care plans for residents in designated supportive living, ensuring alignment with Bethany Care Society policies and regulatory requirements. Mitigate unsafe conditions in the work environment and actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences to advocate for resident choice. Lead and supervise Health Care Aides while fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and direct supervision. Work nights (2300-0715) in a rotating 12x7.75-hour schedule, requiring a valid Alberta LPN license, CPR certification, and Dementia Care experience. This role supports Bethany's mission of creating caring communities for seniors and persons with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Previous License
- Active Registration and in good standing with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication and critical thinking skills
- Current CPR certification
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Criminal Background Check
- Provide proof of all mandatory immunizations
Desired Qualifications
- Practical Nurse experience is preferred
- Dementia Care Certificate and experience preferred
- Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 tool
- Computer skills and electronic documentation is preferred
