Job Summary
Perform nursing assessments and intake screenings, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient conditions while documenting care accurately. Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations, collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and correctional staff, and maintain electronic medical records. Provide patient education, promote wellness, and ensure a safe, respectful, and compassionate healthcare environment. This full-time day shift role at the Cherokee County Detention Center includes a rotating schedule with every other weekend off and offers a sign-on and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Ability to perform nursing assessments and intake screenings
- Ability to administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Ability to monitor patient conditions and document care accurately
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and correctional staff
- Ability to respond to urgent and emergency medical situations
- Ability to maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Ability to provide patient education and promote wellness
- Ability to help ensure a safe, respectful, and compassionate healthcare environment
- Availability for rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Availability for day shift from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
