Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members. Administers medications and treatments, documents care and physician orders, and ensures residents' needs are met. Supervises and directs junior staff and CNAs, participates in orientation and in-service training, and collaborates with other departments to coordinate care. Engages in interviewing applicants and recommends hires, helps manage unit staffing, monitors inventory and supplies, and maintains safety and regulatory compliance. Demonstrates strong communication with residents and their families, responsiveness in emergencies, and commitment to patient-centered care. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- One year of nursing experience preferred
