Job Summary
Charge Nurse - LPN role in a 171-bed long-term care skilled-nursing community. Responsibilities include assessing residents, direct nursing care (wound care, IV therapy, catheter care), safe medication administration, coordinating resident care with the interdisciplinary team, supervising CNAs and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and educating residents and families about care plans and health goals. Requires an active Iowa LPN license, CPR certification, supervisory coursework (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and strong leadership and communication to deliver resident-centered care in a compliant environment.
Required Qualifications
- LPN license in good standing (Iowa)
- CPR certification
- State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within first 90 days
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations
- Compassion, empathy, respect, and discretion in patient care
