Job Summary
Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and supervisory leadership on the unit, conducts resident assessments, administers medications and treatments, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, oversees CNA staff, and ensures compliance with regulations and policies. Responsibilities include documenting care, educating residents and families, and maintaining a safe, resident-centered environment while guiding staff and communicating with physicians and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
- Current, valid CPR Certification.
- Documented completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within first 90-days of employment.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
