Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care through the nursing process while working cooperatively with the health care team. Responsible for observing patients, assessing health care needs, and assisting in developing and implementing individualized care plans. Transcribes physician's orders and schedules necessary tests and treatments. Monitors patient progress and evaluates responses to therapies while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
- Knowledge of the State Nurse Practice Act
- Understanding of hospital and nursing policies and procedures
- Skills in patient care and evaluation
- Ability to work under supervision of a registered nurse
- Experience in collecting patient health care data
