Job Summary
Manage patient flow by viewing daily schedules in the EMR, promptly rooming patients, and setting up exam rooms and supplies. Provide age-specific care to patients from birth upward, including administering medications safely, taking vital signs, and reinforcing patient teaching. Assist providers with triage procedures, eligibility processes, and obtaining services through patient assistance programs while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Maintain accurate documentation of clinical data, referrals, and quality control logs, and recognize high-risk situations immediately. Clean equipment between patients and communicate changes in patient condition to medical providers.
Required Qualifications
- LPN candidate must be a graduate of a registered approved program for Licensed Practical Nurses
- current NYS registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One (1) to two (2) years patient care experience
- Demonstrated excellent customer service
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years physician office experience
- Basic computer keyboard knowledge
- Flexibility to adjust to schedule changes
- Training in laboratory/phlebotomy techniques
- Knowledge of managed care requirements
