Job Summary
Administer medications with 100% accuracy, manage controlled substance counts, and provide hands-on care for residents' daily needs. Assist with resident admissions, activities of daily living, and complete required documentation including ECC logs, service plans, and progress notes. Supervise non-licensed staff by training, directing work, appraising performance, and resolving complaints. Ensure a safe, clean environment by adhering to body mechanics, fall prevention, and HIPAA regulations. Respond promptly to resident and family requests, investigate incident reports, and participate in performance evaluations. Maintain clear communications and set priorities while accepting calls during nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state specific nursing license
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
