Job Summary
Charge Nurse provides nursing leadership to the clinical team on one or more units in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting, directing the overall operations of the clinical team to ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding the clinical staff, ensuring adherence to nursing practices and state guidelines, coordinating care delivery, and maintaining a compliant, resident-centered environment. The role requires LPN licensure, knowledge of LTC regulations, and prior supervisory/management experience in long-term care to support a safe, efficient, and compassionate care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Hold current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain a state-specific license.
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures and the applicable state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the long-term care facility.
- Supervisory/management experience in Long Term Care (LTC).
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
