Job Summary
Deliver basic nursing care, monitor vital signs, and administer medications under RN or physician supervision. Perform wound care, collect specimens, and educate patients on treatment plans while maintaining accurate EHR documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements including HIPAA and OSHA. Provide a safe, therapeutic environment and promptly report patient condition changes. Requires current LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Shift is PRN Night-6p-6a with a differential of $2.25.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to follow clinical protocols, physician orders, and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal communication
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in acute care, long-term care, behavioral health, or correctional healthcare
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR)
- IV certification (if applicable and permitted by state regulations)
