Job Summary
Deliver basic nursing care to patients by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. Assist RNs with assessments and care planning, collect specimens, and educate patients on self-care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and promptly report changes in patient condition to supervising staff. Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role includes a 7 pm to 7 am night shift with a $5.00 differential, requiring an active LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to follow clinical protocols, physician orders, and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal communication
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in acute care, long-term care, behavioral health, or correctional healthcare
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR)
- IV certification (if applicable and permitted by state regulations)
