Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care as an LPN under supervision, including administering medications and injections, monitoring vital signs, assisting with patient assessments and care planning, performing basic diagnostic tests and wound care, maintaining accurate documentation in EHR/EMR, educating patients on medications and self-care, ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote a safe, patient-centered care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to follow clinical protocols, physician orders, and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in acute care, long-term care, behavioral health, or correctional healthcare
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR)
- IV certification (if applicable and permitted by state regulations)
