Job Summary
Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate resident care in alignment with physician orders, service plans, and regulatory standards. Administer and document medications, monitor vital signs, and assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, and transfers. Review assessments and care plans, initiate education plans, and respond promptly to call lights and life-saving situations. Maintain restraint-free environments, support fall prevention programs, and communicate condition changes to physicians and families. Work 12-hour shifts reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, fostering a collaborative, resident-centered environment that promotes physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Current state license for LPN or RN
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to identify/interpret written information
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently
- Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Ability to follow infection prevention and control protocols
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to participate in staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale
- Ability to work as a collaborative team player
- Ability to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives
- Ability to actively pursue self-improvement
- Ability to embrace opportunities for continuous learning
- Ability to discuss potential accommodations with the employer (if applicable)
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of a drug screening
- Participation in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations)
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of nursing experience
- CPR or BLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Demonstrated proficiency in web-based platforms
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in HR-related systems as applicable
